Sorry that I’m a day late. I know all of you were on the edge of your seat yesterday, waiting for this article to get posted. I don’t pick Thursday games anyway so quit complaining.
As the regular followers may know, the last few weeks have been a success. After two weeks of fluttering in mediocrity (similar to Donald’s life), the FF Team has gone 5-1-1. That’s a pretty good record to have last time I checked.
Does this mean that we’re likely to crumble soon? Perhaps, life tends to ruin us all a little bit every now and then. Let me ask you a question though: Did the Roman Empire worry about their demise while they were on top? NOPE. They worried about Roman stuff, like gladiators and the shit that used to be on that show Spartacus.
Did I just compare Fantasy Fusion’s Odd’s Team to one of the greatest empires in history? Perhaps. Am I inaccurate? Nope.
Let’s get down to the good stuff!
NY Giants (-3) vs. Los Angeles – O/U 44 (at London)
Minnesota (-3) At Philadelphia – O/U 39
At Kansas City (-6.5) vs. New Orleans – O/U 50.5
At Detroit (-1.5) vs. Washington – O/U 49.5
At Cincinnati (-10) vs. Cleveland – O/U 45.5
Buffalo (-3) At Miami – O/U 44
At Jacksonville (-1) vs. Oakland – O/U 47
At Tennessee (-3) vs. Indianapolis – O/U 47.5
At NY Jets (-2) vs. Baltimore – O/U 40.5
At Atlanta (-6.5) vs. San Diego – O/U 54
Tampa Bay (-1) vs. At San Francisco – O/U 46.5
New England (-7) At Pittsburgh – O/U 47
At Arizona (-2) vs. Seattle – O/U 43
At Denver (-8.5) vs. Houston - O/U 40.5
Browns @ Bengals -10: Andy Dalton is figuring out how to play football again and now everyone else is in big, big trouble. Dalton has been playing very well over the last couple of games, but the Bengals have been outplayed by better competition. This week is different. This week, the Bengals have the Browns. While 10 points is a lot, I’m riding with the Red Rocket. Cincinnati has won three straight against the Browns, winning by at least 20 in all of them. Division games typically worry me with such big spreads because the teams know each other so well, but my gut says Bengals.
Ravens @ Jets -2: Call me Homer Simpson (please tell me you understood that joke) because I’m taking my Ravens. Baltimore is on a 3-game losing streak, and the Jets are on a 4-game losing streak. Geno Smith is BAD, but the Ravens can’t seem to force turnovers so this game will be interesting to watch. NY’s front seven can dominate anyone when they’re on their A-game, and the Ravens have been shuffling their O-line for weeks now. This pick pretty much comes down to Baltimore always keeping games close, in winning and losing. I just so happen to think (and hope) they can end their skid this week.
If You’re Up For It
I don’t hate Tennessee -3 over the Colts. Indy has stunk up the field this year as a whole and will fall to 2-5. New England still has Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, and now they don’t have to play Big Ben so I’ll take them on the road -7.
