Win, win win: that seemed to be the motto last week. I mistakenly thought we were perfect last week as you can see when you visit my Twitter @FFMilkMan. That’s on me, the true heroes of the world own up to their mistakes. I don’t wear a cape, I just do what is right. You’re welcome.
My mistake was thinking that I was perfect. In reality, I was just almost perfect. Dallas failed to cover the spread for just the second time this year as they defeated the Redskins by 5 (I think? all that matters is that they didn’t cover). Is this Roger Goodell’s fault? Was it selfish for Josh Norman to not allow Dez to score? Am I just making up reasons to cover my own ass?
If you happen to be a frequent visitor of this portion of the site, you know that the picks each week seem to revolve around New England and Dallas. Why? Because they’re the kids in class that were probably a year or two older than you but got held back for some reason and just dominate everyone on the playground. So this week I’m going to do something different. While I do HIGHLY recommend taking the Cowboys and the Patriots (again), I’m going to give you a couple of other plays I like as well.
Dallas (-3.5) - At Minnesota - 44
Denver (-4.5) - At Jacksonville - 40.5
At Atlanta (-4) - Kansas City - 49
At Green Bay (-6.5) - Houston - 45.5
At Cincinnati (-1) - Philadelphia - 42
At New Orleans (-6) - Detroit - 53.5
At Chicago (-1.5) - San Francisco - 43.5
At New England (-13.5) - Los Angeles - 44.5
At Baltimore (-3.5) - Miami - 40.5
At Oakland (-3) - Buffalo - 49
At San Diego (-3.5) - Tampa Bay - 47.5
At Arizona (-2.5) - Washington - 49.5
At Pittsburgh (-6) - NY Giants - 48.5
At Seattle (-7) - Carolina - 44.5
Indianapolis (-1.5) - At NY Jets - 49
Detroit at New Orleans -6: I don’t care what Donald says, New Orleans is not a good team. In addition, if you’re going to bet against the Lions this year, you should do it in an outdoor stadium. Indoors, Detroit is 7-1. New Orleans? 3-3. Don’t forget that Detroit is on a three-game winning streak. Stay hot, Detroit.
San Francisco at Chicago -1.5: This is going to be a bad, bad game. Am I crazy to say that Matt Barkley is immediately better than Jay Cutler while only playing about two games? San Fran is 0-5 on the road, maybe that’s really the only thing left to say? DAAAAA BEARS.
Washington at Arizona -2.5: Let’s all agree on this now just to get it out of the way: Kirk Cousins is a legit starting QB. Right now, he is playing out of his mind and Arizona is a downgrade compared to Dallas in terms of overall quality. I think Washington wins straight up.
