Welcome Back! After a poor performance in Week 3, the money train is back (depending on if you took both bets in the Chargers v Colts game). Some of you may say, “going .500 isn’t exactly great, Milk.”
Well guess what? Even the best handicappers (who will charge you money for their picks, you’re welcome for free advice) finish either .500 or slightly above. I admit that I’m not a pro, and there will be some struggles throughout the season, but if you stick with me, you’ll be okay.
Where are we in the “We’re Back Meter?”
At Cincinnati (-7.5) - Miami - 44.5
Indianapolis (-2.5) - Jacksonville (At London) - 49
At Washington (-8) - Cleveland - 45.5
At New England (-5.5) - Buffalo -Off
Seattle (-2.5) - At NY Jets - 41.5
Carolina (-3)- At Atlanta - 50.5
Detroit (-3) - At Chicago- 46.5
At Houston (-5) - Tennessee - 40.5
At Baltimore (-3.5) - Oakland - 46.5
Denver (-3) - At Tampa Bay - 44
Dallas (-2.5) At San Francisco - 45.5
At San Diego (-4) - New Orleans - 53.5
At Arizona (-8) - Los Angeles - 43
At Pittsburgh(-5) - Kansas City - 47
At Minnesota (-5)- NY Giants - 43
Buffalo at New England -5.5: Get New England while you can! Brady will be back next week and I expect a lot of the lines to start jumping once he returns. The Patriots proved that they’re the best team in the league already, and I expect Rex Ryan to be talking a lot of shit again, which tends to lead to Belichick running up the score.
Oakland at Baltimore -3.5: Could Baltimore actually be 4-0? Oakland is 2-0 on the road, but crossing the country didn’t fare well for the Ravens last year when they traveled to Oakland, so we'll see if it has the same effect when the Raiders head east. It doesn’t seem like Vegas really believes in the Ravens and I can understand why they’re hesitant, but only -3.5? I’ll take Baltimore to cover by a smidge.
NY Giants at Minnesota -5, Over 43: I don’t really like either team too much, especially with that always confusing 5 point favorite (5 point favorites tend to be issued when Vegas doesn’t have a clue). Instead, I’ll take the over of 43. Both teams can score and both teams have a good defense, but both teams have the capability of scoring on defense also. Points, points, points!
